At St Joseph’s Netball Club, we value our coaches and recognise the vital role they play in the development and success of our club. In 2026, we are proud to offer a structured volunteer Coaching Pathway designed to foster and support the next generation of coaches.

Coaching provides valuable opportunities to develop strategic thinking, confidence, leadership, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Members who are interested in volunteering their time and learning to coach are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for our Coaching Pathway.

Club Coaching Pathway – Eligibility & Requirements

  • Hold a current Blue Card (required for participants aged 18 years and over)
  • Be available to attend allocated team training sessions on Thursday afternoons (of up to 1.5hrs between 4:00 pm and 6:30 pm)
  • Assist at a minimum of three (3) competition games during the season
  • Maintain effective communication with the allocated coach regarding attendance or absences
  • Attend WDNA Introduction to Coaching workshops, where available

  • Opportunities to assist with pre-season clinics conducted by the club
