St Joseph's Netball Club is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people within our club and the broader netball community. In line with recently introduced safeguarding legislation in Queensland, we are updating some of our current practices relating to photography and image sharing.
We value celebrating our players each week and sharing
positive moments from games and training. To ensure we continue to do this
safely and appropriately, we ask all coaches, managers, and families to support
the following changes moving forward:
1. 📱 Personal Devices: Team
managers and coaches should no longer take photos of children other than their
own on personal devices.
2. 🏆 Player of the Match
Photos: Parents/carers are encouraged to take Player of the Match photos
themselves and submit them via the club's Smug Mug Account.

Netball Club Photo Gallery Upload 2026.
Please note the portal is a secure upload-only link, you can
submit photos but cannot view any images in the gallery.
Submission of these photos will serve as implied consent for
sharing on our social platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and be used for end of
year celebration.
3. 💾 Storage of Images:
Images of children other than your own should not be stored on personal
devices.
4. ✍️ First Names Only:
Coaches and managers are asked to use first names only on Player of the Match
certificates to ensure player safety when posted on social media.
5. 📷 Team Photos:
Team Photos for promotional activities (e.g. Team of the Week) will be covered
under the consent signed at the time of registration. However, if you do not
wish for your player to be included in photos published to social media sites
(Facebook, Instagram etc), please advise your manager and the club in writing
to stjosephsnetballwdna@outlook.com
In the coming weeks, we will also be implementing a staged
approach to the deletion of photos stored on individual devices, including
WhatsApp team chats, to remove current images of other children. Further advice
will be provided on this process. Before deletion, these images can be uploaded
to the above-mentioned links to ensure they are stored securely and
appropriately.
We appreciate everyone's support as we continue
strengthening our safeguarding practices and ensuring the safety of all players
remains our priority. 🙏 If you have any
questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. We understand these
changes may take some time to adjust to, and we are all learning together.
Thank you for your cooperation, and as always, Go Joeys! 💚💛
